    I imagine they would provide advice about the validity of a rule or rule change. Maybe offer advice about how to deal with the conduct of an habitual troll or something of that nature.

    Back when I was one, a mod might start a topic in the Advisor room. Advisors can also start topics for discussion and advice. Not sure anymore but imagine it's the same.
