Hey Anna, nice to meet you! Don't be intimidated, just jump right in! If you ever need help with anything, just let us know.

Things you should know:

-This forum is about 80% conservatives, 10% leftists, and 10% moderates. I consider myself a left-leaning moderate.

-The median age here is like 55 or 60 and about 90% of contributors are male. At 37, I'm about the youngest active member.

-Almost everyone here is an American and obscenely wealthy, as in they own estates. At an income of about $20,000 a year, I'm definitely the poorest person here.

-Though it's a conservative place, this is among the more reasonable of those on the internet. Fewer conspiracy theories and such than you might find on other such places and less xenophobia (e.g. people here are mostly fine with the fact that I'm gay). People here are basically nice. Expect to get accused of trolling every once in a while just for disagreeing with the consensus opinion though if you ever do. People here are used to groupthink and struggle to conceive of people honestly disagreeing with them.

-Never use pictures of yourself as your avatar, trust me. It brings out the creepiness and misogyny in our resident creeps and misogynists.
