    Media use of Race

    There are cable news channels that use the term racist every day. I would like a $100 for every-time they use this word. (they just can't stop)
    I would use the money to start a new news channel that has both sides views. We need people like Tim Russert again to bring back trust.

    I turned on the t.v. at one point yesterday and there was a show on featuring a number of Black individuals being interviewed - just brief cuts from one to the other, as is commonly done in documentaries and theme features. The people being interviewed were not "man on the street" types, but in-studio guests. The subject of this segment was "Karens", and a man was talking about how, according to him, "some White people" were starting to recognize and call out Karens."But", he continued, "you're all Karens". Then, as a clip of a crying White woman standing beside a police officer was shown, a Black woman was talking about White people who align themselves with Black victims, and she said, "We see your tears...but they're not going to save you". Maybe I should have watched more of the show to get some context, but I couldn't stomach it.
