Group of protesting truckers begin trip to DC area this week

There are many restrictions and roads that ban commercial trucks into DC. Lots of low overpasses also restrict where trucks can go.

I wonder whether they are planning to obey the restrictions, other than those that contain low overpasses? I assume that they would expect to be met with some resistance.

There's a cool overpass over I70 just outside of Frederick with a pedestrian walkway. I may just go check it out.

Bring ear protection. There is likely to be a lot of honking going on.

At least it's a Saturday so the normal rush hour won't be in play at least for the group Finders posted the schedule for.
There's apparently more than one group that will be here on differing days.

People should be prepared for shortages at the supermarkets because with that much incoming rig traffic, deliveries may be delayed.

I did when my office was on the Orange line. I live at the end of the Orange line. Where my office is now it would take longer to metro than to drive.

I used to buy a lot of computer stuff from Micro Center. Know that area well.

I'd assume they will be prepared. Permits are required on most of the roads that ban commercial trucks so they would only get so far and then be turned back.

I have said if truckers want to make a mark, don't deliver food to blue cities.
