    Would you buy another?

Why are there less new buyers for hybrids?

Is it just the sticker price?

I would consider buying another. I won't decide until I get rid of this one.

All good IMO. You can punch it and pass easily. Of course your gas mileage suffers.

I guess the best way to put it, if you drove it to get the maximum fuel benefits you probably wouldn't be happy. I drive it like I would a normal SUV and still get much better gas mileage than its non-hybrid version.

As to the original question; there is absolutely no shortage of oil. There is obviously a shortage of pumped oil, but leave this price where it is, you'll suddenly have more oil than you know what to do with. As a side note, I'm sure you're all aware, we're pumping the most oil ever in the US. One other thing, the global economy sets the price, not the Democrats.

We consume a massive amount of energy. They don't seem to understand that we can convert fossil fuel to electricity, but we can't do the reverse. We need powerful (cheap) sources of energy in order to keep people warm/cool, and alive.

We're already seeing the poor being left behind when it comes to paying for heat and AC for their homes. State programs and local charities are trying to pick up the slack, but they can't do that forever.

They don't want carbon-producing energy. I get that, but for God's sake, stop it with the renewables already. That industry is such a scam (on a utility scale). Nuclear doesn't create carbon and we're learning how to reduce and recycle its waste.

I'm tired of people doing things for appearances that are detrimental to society as a whole.
"Scam on the utility end" says it all. Because at the individual home level maybe even the community level solar/wing could help take the pressure off and maybe reduce the increased demand for fossil fuels. But with no $150.00 a month umbilical cord, good luck getting that developed. My point is a reasonable plan could include alternate energy and try to gradually increase it's output, even if we are talking 1% of overall energy needs. Which I think is part of what you are saying.? But the idea of just magically turning everything green is outrageous. And no more realistic then was defunding the police,

We don't need oil! All the energy we need comes out of the wall socket. Problem solved.

Yes, but oil has been subsidized for decades. Exxon and BP get free security and muscle thanks to the tax payer. We were trending away from ME oil but not anymore

Joe says we average $500 a month for electric bills in an effort to tell you how much we will save.

Who out there averages $500 for electricity every month. I never had a $500 electric bill.

    https://abcnews.go.com/Business/wire...vings-83797748

President Joe Biden vastly overpromised Thursday when he told Americans they can expect savings of $500 a month by transitioning to renewable energy.

Because electricity is free? Solar panels are free? The batteries and convertors are free?
