Masoretic Text was changed to deny divinity of Jesus. Hint - it's in the begats!

Atheists use the timeline in the MT in order to "prove" the bible wrong, saying it doesn't sync up with known history. This is an oddly light watch given the subject matter, and delves into the history of the pyramids and the Israelite sojourn in Egypt.

Essentially, ages in the genealogies were shortened, which throws off the timeline. If you compare with the greek septuagint there's a couple hundred years deleted from the MT. Sorry, but my explanation stops there, I'd essentially have to write a transcript. But he is a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.

Well done. Always at a tangent to the topic at hand. This is nothing to do with young earth creation. This has to do with intentional manipulation of scripture to achieve political ends. This also blows out KJ only-ism heretical nonsense. It also shows Jesus and the Apostles/disciples used the Septuagint, which has the deuterocanonical books, which the KJV did too until mid-1800s.

I have watched your threads for some time now. You have no idea what you are talking about when it comes to the Bible. You are not fooling Christians

The Honda automobile is the only car mentioned in the Bible. It clearly says the disciples all left in one Accord

I will confess, I only watched the first five minutes of the video because watching the whole thing would have been 32 minutes of my life I couldn't have gotten back, but was not the point of it that someone fiddled with the ages of the Biblical patriarchs in order to make it seem to be at odds with historical knowns?

This may come as a shock to you, JiL, but not everyone who believes in God is guilty of bibliolatry - the worship of a book, in this case the Bible - which is what you apparently sanction. The notion that if a Biblical passage (or someone's interpretation of a Biblical passage) runs counter to known history or science - even if the passage is clearly intended to be allegorical or poetic - that the history or science must be wrong is not a view taken by very many Christians - and probably not very many at all of those who have had any worthwhile education in their Faith.

Videos like the one you posted in the OP are intended to impress and convince folks whose understanding of the Christian Faith is essentially on the level of someone who stopped any serious learning about it after elementary school aged Sunday School.

There is some evidence that water did flow next to the Pyramids at some ancient time. So far as the flood recorded in the bible, that was most likely a localized flood in the Black Sea basis or the Mediterranean basin.

    Hear hear.
It's ok if you disagree with me. I can't force you to be right.
