The median life expectancy in the UK is 81.
The median age of a COVID death in the UK is 82.
Statistically speaking, the majority of people who died with COVID were near the end of their natural lives. In other words, they were going to die soon no matter what we did.
For the large majority of the population, COVID was never actually dangerous, which almost everyone admits now.
The fact is, you cannot even measure the effectiveness of a treatment when the disease has a baseline 99.85% survival rate. How will you know the treatment is effective or not? Will the survival rate go from 99.85% to 99.90%? And how do you tell if that difference is due to vaccination without controlling for other variables like obesity, age, etcetera? You can't.
