Not sure. Science, properly understood, has clear rules and definitions that serve as a check on corruption, whereas religion is far more subjective and open to interpretation. No doubt, there have been a lot of corrupt people who claim to act in the name of science.

My only point is that there is a difference between science itself and the army of hacks who claim to represent science.

Just as there are plenty of quacks who claim to act in the name of religion, God, Jesus.

In neither case should outliers be taken as representative of the whole.

Not everything covered by science is incomplete. We use science to help solve problems because science is useful. We still use newtonian mechanics because it is good enough for a wide range of problems. And we use the more difficult quantum mechanics where it is useful. Who knows, maybe one day we will have a theory that helps integrate the two in ways that are a better fit for both sets of problems.

Right, Newtonian Laws work well enough here on earth, but they don't in space. They were revised by Einstein with General Relativity. Einstein predicted his laws would one day be revised. I thought I read recently someone had. Here: A New Discovery Is Challenging Einstein’s Theory of Relativity:

Earlier this year, physicists celebrated the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory’s (LIGO) discovery of gravitational waves — ripples in spacetime curvature — at the site of a black hole merger as it confirmed part of Albert Einstein’s theory of general relativity. However, that discovery might now be hinting that the very same theory breaks down at the edge of black holes....

    As an approximation.

Something to hold onto, I suppose.

It is almost as if you do not understand the point.

    Never mind. It is unimportant.

Me? LOL. I'm explaining science to you, you're stubbornly not getting it.

I won’t say because I have no position on that. If I did have a position I’d reveal it. I don’t know why it would be embarrassing to make that belief known.

People of the Christian faith don’t know and neither do scientists.

As far as I’m concerned you can believe the earth is 6,000 years old or 6 billion or 60 billion years old. It makes no difference to me. I don’t need answers to every question facing mankind. The issue isn’t important to me.

What I believe is no one knows.
