    They also have some faith in their government to use their tax money wisely.
    The US government has continuously has shown itself to be corrupt and wasteful.

    I think that has a lot to do with the homogeneity of their nations. They're all Norwegians or all Swedes etc, or were, and so they know and trust what each other will do.
