What about Hwy 60 as an alternate route?

64 should not be a problem until you get past the Williamsburg exit.

If you do use 60 then don't take it straight out of Richmond. Get off 64 at the Bottoms Bridge Exit to avoid the airport and more rundown areas. 60 will take you about 50% longer. You will drive right by my old house on the way.

Yes. Many. And the Appalachian Trial goes through the state. Many of the hike that I have done use parts of the AP.

I went on a dive trip in Cozemel once. There was an older couple in their late 70's there. They were doing their open water certification dives on that trip.

I'll be taking the Williamsburg exit I reckon so it shouldn't be too bad I guess. ETA at Williamsburg will be 1pm.
