    Rebuilding American Families

On War Room this morning the topic turned to families.

I have long believed the building blocks of a good civic life in a good country is the nuclear family consisting of one man, one woman and some number of children. We demolished the nuclear family beginning in the 1960s and continued its destruction all the way through this morning.

There was a time, not that long ago when a large family could live comfortably on one income. As government grew more paternalistic and tyrannical it took one adult to support government while the other adult supported the family.

Our families are sick and broken. How do we repair them?
Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

I pledge allegiance to the Constitution as written and understood by this nation's founders, and to the Republic it created, an indivisible union of sovereign States, with liberty and justice for all.

Violent crime in our inner cities can be directly linked to the destruction of the black family structure through the creation of the dependent class.

I believe the problem is so deep and wide that there is no solution.

The welfare system destroyed the black family. This was by design

Curiously I have been watching old reruns of shows I did not pay much attention to in my younger days like "The Walton's" and "Little House on the Prairie." The later based on the real life experiences of author Laura Ingalls Wilder.

A one key aspect of these people living in the late 1800's and 1930's America is that families were multi-generational. Everyone from children to grandparents relied on one another and also the friends and neighbors in small rural communities. There was no welfare and at best the Government provided some work now and then.

Very similar to what my late grandmother told me about growing up in the Depression.

I would say Desantis has the right idea and is pursuing the right policies to put families and culture first. Viktor Orbán, in Hungary, goes even further.
