Exclamation The overhead view makes Rich Strike's comeback for the upset

Wow. The overhead view makes Rich Strike's comeback for the upset. Rich Strike’s historic rise from Kentucky Derby alternate to 80-1 longshot winner only was made more incredible by the overheard view of Saturday’s race.

NBC Sports provided the stunning footage showing jockey Sonny Leon riding the shocking winner at Churchill Downs from the back of the pack, weaving through at least 15 other horses from the final turn before taking the rail down the stretch and flying by Epicenter, the 4-1 favorite, and Zandon just before the finish line.

Only 1% of the bettors bet on Rich Strike to win. More than 50 million dollars were wagered on the derby. Another 500K of that was placed on Rich Strike

Best comment form the weekend on the race was " Snoop dogg has a better chance at passing a drug test then Rich Strike does"

Most who are into betting horses quickly claimed the horse was juiced, I'm sure it trying to take a bite out of the pony after it had won and the outrider having to punch it in the face only furthered the thought of an unnatural victory here.

Ethereal Road was only scratched on Friday morning to give him a slot. That means not many people were even giving him a look coming into the derby. I bet almost of all that money was nothing but fun money by people saying they are going to play the long shot regardless of who it was.

But when you look at the finish there was no one that was worried about him and they left a very wide lane open to him along the rail. No one closed the lane, no dirt kicked up in his face....
All he had to do was run. They will certainly be looking for him at the Preakness.

But this bet reminds me of when I took my son to Keeneland when he was young. I had him pick a horse after he watched them in the paddock. He picked the "purple one" that was also #13 to boot and at ridiculous odds, so I didn't really bother to place a bet for him.
Yes I paid him off for the full amount that he won.

In the final stretch just before Rich Strike took the lead you could see him $#@!ing his head and looking at Epicenter.

After the first furlong, the race announcer never said his name until right before he took the lead.

I was too busy looking for my horse who was buried in the pack and ended up 12th. I also did not see him burning it up when he hit the inside.

I didn't even start watching, until they were loading them into the starting gate, I don't pick my horse until the post parade but, I missed it, so I saw #10, right before he was loaded, said, "I like him, I'll take him," and, he came in 3rd.

Not too bad, for only seeing him a couple seconds.
