As long as the special class is allowed to profit off transportation, they'll never get to the completely independent energy source: Hydrogen. Imagine, driving across Texas. You'll have to stop 3 times to recharge, which takes 8 hours. 300-350 miles per charge. And what happens if you run out of battery far and away from a source of power? EV's cost 3 to 4 times what a car costs. You can stop and fill up on a long trip with gas. You're stuck wherever you land with an EV. Maybe horses aren't a bad idea after all.......and you can eat them if it is absolutely necessary. I'd like to see someone eat an EV in a pinch

What happens in one of those big accident traffic jams when sitting there and the battery just quits - for a half dozen or so people? I mean, everybody aren't as neurotic diligent in topping off as some of us are.
