Devotion to the truth is the hallmark of morality; there is no greater, nobler, more heroic form of devotion than the act of a man who assumes the responsibility of thinking.”

For the record, I am not a "follower" of President Donald Trump. In 1963, at the age of 18, I read Atlas Shrugged for the first time. I have been a free market capitalist ever since. I saw in President Donald Trump the attributes of someone who would also support my position. I am a firm believer in the Constitution as written by the Founding Fathers. I have never seen any Democrat I would even consider supporting since JFK. If you want to argue that government can run an economy and society better than rational self interest I have no interest in anything you might say because I know all you want to do is control my actions to your benefit.

"The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world’s problems.”
Mahatma Gandhi
The trouble with our Liberal friends is not that they're ignorant; it's just that they know so much that isn't so. -- Ronald Reagan
It is by the actions of many individuals acting in their own RATIONAL self interest that an economy will flourish. Self interest does not mean "me me me". If, as an individual I decide I want to be a meth addict that is not a rational decision. Eventually such a decision will lead to my death in some manner.
And yes, for an economy to flourish there must be rules and some way to enforce those rules. However, under free market capitalism we accept those rules under our own free will and accord.
I have long said we are all "self made men", its just that most of us don't want to take credit for what we have made.
