Protests have spread across Iran over the death of Mahsa Amini after the young woman was arrested by morality police, with at least eight people killed in a crackdown, according to a combined toll.

Public anger has flared in the Islamic republic since authorities on Friday announced the death of 22-year-old Amini, who had been held for allegedly wearing a hijab headscarf in an "improper" way. Activists said the woman, whose Kurdish first name is Jhina, had suffered a fatal blow to the head, a claim denied by officials who have announced an investigation. Some women demonstrators have defiantly taken off their hijabs and burned them in bonfires or symbolically cut their hair before cheering crowds, video footage spread virally on social media has shown.

Iran is indeed led by an evil regime. Why would anyone think it’s a good idea to attempt to reach an international agreement with these people on any issue let alone the possession of a nuclear weapon?

Those foreign protests will have zero impact upon the leadership in Iran.

    How do you know?

The more press the less chance of massacre being used by the State to control the internal strife.

Now. We are gonna support the Iranian people...correct? Our 'nuclear deal' or whatever we're trying to f'n sell, that ain't gonna matter a bit....right? I mean, this happened during Obama/Biden and the two sat on their asses and did nothing. The United States does support democracy, right? These are democratic protests and we need to hold it over the Iranian heads that we ain't gonna make deal one with em if they do not allow peaceful protests like our Summer of Love here in the US?

Biden with an opportunity to make a statement on Democracy. If he's a champion of the cause, he'll stand with the Iranian People.

Don't worry, I'm not asking the idiots who voted for him to hold him to account, y'all can go back to sleep or stroke Liz Cheney another check.

To the reptile Neocon brain, what is your idea of support in this context? Be specific.

Reptile in that we're cold blooded is accurate, Pete. I think I did mention it above, perhaps a reread. Make Iranian leadership understand that there will be no nuclear deal or any lifting of sanctions if they do not allow peaceful protests from the Iranian People.

My other thought was that Biden and Democrats are always championing 'democracy', I would think this a perfect opportunity. They need to denounce Iranian leadership and support democracy movements within Iran. Correct?

No reptile brain means our original brain. The old part. Flight, fight, or freeze. The pre-frontal cortex with logic and emotion came later.

I am all for cheerleading for the girls in Iran. Yah! You go girl! See?

I also love covert actions, as I said earlier today.

But your answer is vague. Can you be more specific? What would you commit the US too inside of Iran?
