I guess my point is we have had a problem caring for our vets for decades and the VA is not in good shape and yet a war pops up thousands of miles away and just like that Congress allocates billions with no trouble at all. Back at home there is never the same urgency for problems in our own backyard.

    RIP Uncle Bosey
A great first officer but an even better second course.

No, "we" can't. The country is drowning in debt and inflation.

Oh wait, that seems to be the plan.
The US economy is strong, but it does have its limits. Fools like Richard seem intent on testing those limits, mostly because their party is gorging themselves on the tax dollars flowing into Ukraine.

Our Veterans should come FIRST, not behind another country's people.
With $40 billion, we could give a $5,000 tax credit to 8 million American families. Instead, the money is going straight into the pockets of arms dealers, big banks, and politicians.

The American revolution was fought primarily because Americans didn't want to spend their blood and treasure on Europe's endless wars and intrigues. So, in many ways, we've reached a point in our country's history where the American revolution no longer means anything. We're right back to where we started.

    Exactly.

The lack of urgency that characterizes their response to our domestic problems says it all.

$40 billion could transform the lives of millions of Americans for the better almost overnight. But it won't do anything to change the long-term trajectory of the war in Ukraine, and nobody, not even the people who support this spending, are pretending that it will.

They just want to spend the money, with basically no oversight, so they can plunder it for themselves.

Check it out: Most Republicans are Uniparty 40 $Billion

"All can see what’s happening. With Biden’s cognitive decline being so obvious, there can be little doubt that he is being used by internal and external enemies of America intent on breaking down the constitutional republic of the United States without firing a shot.".
