    Preparing for the Coming Depression

What are you doing to prepare for the coming Depression?

I bought a house. I dissolved all of my debt except for the house. I am still considering buying an AR-15 carbine platform. Illegal aliens will be coming by to beg for food once the Depression kicks in.

I planted four fruit trees but they won't have fruit for another two years, minimum. My blueberry bushes all have berries this year. Next year they should provide a small harvest.

I am fattening up my cat. She doesn't know.

    Or does she?

One thing I am certain if it happens, this won't be like the last Depression where most people came together as families and helped one another. Where looking for work was more important than handouts.....

And it will get ugly, especially the Urban areas run by Democrats!

I am borderline certain. Each neighborhood is different. When the time comes I will organize a neighborhood watch.

I don't think illegals will come begging for food, I think they'll come with the purpose of stealing food and, anything else they can get.

Not just illegals, though, your neighbors too.....that's where your personal protection comes into play.

Everything we have, we own outright, we've already gotten with our financial advisor and, gotten things moved around and, sorted out.....etc..

It won't be the "Waltons," people, it'll be more like, "Escape From New York."

Make sure you stock up on cat food and other cat supplies. They are already starting to be in short supply.

I am just stocking up on canned goods, beans and rice. Tuna is just about to be short supplied so if you eat canned tuna, get some extra. Paper products are always necessary. Water.

What we will run out of first here is bread and milk. I will have the ability to make tortillas if bread is gone and we will just have to do without milk.

    Other suggestions?

Thankfully I am in a rural area run by Republicans... for now.

Yeah, a shame that the patriotic camaraderie, the 'we're all in it together' spiritedness that so many in this country grew up with is of such slim pickin's these days. In years of yore, most were more than willing to give of what they had for the sake of others.
I'm a little luckier than some to live in a rural area where I know most would come together, and look out for one another; trade, barter, give away, care. We'd start out that way, anyway.

And the best part? Liberals are too lazy to find where I live.
