    Favorite Fight Scenes

Some of the great movie fight scenes, while always fun to watch, are not all that graphic. I'm thinking of the fight in the diner between Rock Hudson's character and 'Sarge' toward the end of the film Giant. Of late, of course, the makers of movies and even television have taken it to a whole other level. Generally speaking I'm not into violence for its own sake, but occasionally I'll come across something that is just...epic.

If you never watched the show 'Banshee', there were two characters who were such total badasses that they always walked away from a fight the winner, and usually the only one breathing. Burton was the bodyguard/minion of the town's biggest criminal-businessman, and Nola was a very dangerous and somewhat mysterious presence with a bad attitude and a steel combat axe. A showdown was inevitable, and it came in the third episode of season 3.

She actually got a subclavian cut in with the spike of her hawk. That should have been fatal.

    Well choreographed fight though.
