What it takes to write a nanoessay on a subject you are passionate about?

What it takes to write a nanoessay on a subject you are passionate about? I can mostly speak for myself.

    1) If it is the subject I am passionate about, such as discrimination against men, then the first step is thinking about the subject. For me, a typical nanoessay is a product of about 50 hours of thought. Some thinking is accompanied by reading Twitter and Reddit arguments on the subject. I participate rarely, but I can be mean when I do! Some thinking is done as I am walking with music on. Thinking about issues which are important to me comes naturally -- while actually writing the thoughts down requires work and self-discipline.

    2) A typical nanoessay does require research. Nevertheless, I can put in writing something which I had mostly researched in 2002.

    3) A typical nanoessay requires 90-120 minutes writing. Given that I mostly work as a housekeeper, taking extra 90-120 minutes per week can be challenging. It does require self-dicipline!

    4) Those who write Politically Correct nanoessays get great appreciation, they are published on all Social Media and Mainstream Media, and they get paid for their nanoessays. Those who write Politically Incorrect nanoessays get little appreciation. On this and USMB forums, I can get from 0 to 30 replies. On Reddit I used to get up to 400 likes. Now, my main account and most subreddits discussing men's issues have been banned. Hopefully Elon Musk acquires Twitter -- then I will post my nanoessays there.

    5) After my main account on Reddit was banned, I became lazy. Of course I never slack with respect to housekeeping, but I have been slacking in writing nanoessays.

Millions of people write nanoessays -- each one on his/her own subject. Blogs are nanoessays.

    "Banned from Reddit" lmao --congrats

I've been banned from a few places myself

I used to be a mod at a lib website. I'm not sure how it went down but I got into a war of words with the head poobah .

I knew I was in deeper water than Venice so I got the jump on him.

I played "Bennie and the Jets " , banned myself (yes, it was not only my best play but the only play I had at the time lol)

    We all won

As per your "nanoessays"? I think you are a very fluid writer with a very sufficient vocab and command of the English language

You should write a few more on here.

Simply say " this is my nano, it is my work and to hell with what anyone else thinks "

I don't see many of us doing them

    Keep on smilin
    I'm yo.
    This my brother yo
    We yo yo

First, if I ever got to the point where I labeled something I'd written as a "nanoessay" I would turn off my computer, go see my doctor for a full blood workup and a brain scan, then watch old Westerns and listen to good music until I stopped taking myself so seriously.

A nanoessay is simply a blog post. It is a form of self-expression.
