I just had a chilling thought. The left wants Trump imprisoned (this is nothing new), and now we have this new poll supposedly saying 58% support charging him. I wonder how many of those people know exactly what they would be charging him with?

Anyway, suppose that the Democrats wildest fantasies come true, and a SWAT team drags Trump off in leg irons and throw him in solitary, and is eventually convicted by a jury made up of Washington DC residents. Off he goes to prison. What happens next? How do his supporters react? Will they become violent? And if they do, wouldn't that feed into the hands of the leftists who can then start mass incarcerations of right wingers?

This looks like a stupid political game right now, but things could get ugly, really ugly.

Shamed? That's what they have MSNBC for. Didn't they get enough while he was president? What's the point of dragging all this out now, unless it's purely political theater, which we assured it's not. I keep reading that he is guilty of crimes and has to be held accountable for them. Maybe they could find him guilty, and Biden could pardon him?

If they put him up on charges, especially if it was without bail, I think there would be some violence from some of his supporters, and then things could get very nasty.

Anyway, as I've said, imprisoning your political opponents is something a third world country would do. Which isn't to say they should get away with anything, but still.
