There would be a lot of businesses suddenly making plans to move their headquarters and facilities out of Texas.

...and a whole lot more moving into Texas, because Federal regulations would not apply.
and those that are here WOULD NOT leave.
They would remember why they came here in the first place. To get away from the crazy taxation they got in the US.

I had a conversation with my wife about this same topic just today.

FEEL safe, and BEING safe are two completely different things.

You might FEEL safe, if you run to your bathroom and lock the door if a madman with an axe busts into your house.

You ARE safe if you have all your doors and windows locked and you have a 12 gage within 3 steps of where you are sitting.

I have been calling them Texicans for years. I picked it up when I heard John Wayne call Glen Campbell one in True Grit. I liked it and have been using it ever since.

I like it too. Much better than the " Texian " monicar they used later on.

TEXICAN is more true to our TEXAS, MEXICAN, and AMERICAN heritage....and easier to say.
Kinda like the Spanish " Tejano " the original Mexican settlers called themselves.

New York and California are leftist cesspools poisoning the country.

I don't care about Trump, the sooner he is yesterday's news the sooner the Republicans can move into the future. They're not going to do it with a 78 year old Trump, even if he is much sharper than Biden. Trump-like policies, but someone without a penchant for shooting themselves in the foot.

My plan was to line the Hudson river with outboard motors and push NYC and New England off to Europe. The rest of NY is actually reasonable and victims of NYC politics. Then we could take California and split it strategically to keep our western port. Old California becomes north of Long Beach to north of San Fran but west of I-5.
