Western Move to Choke Russia’s Oil Exports Boomerangs, for Now

And it is funding Putin's war.

Western Move to Choke Russia’s Oil Exports Boomerangs, for Now

When the United States and European Union moved to curtail purchases of Russian fossil fuels this year, they hoped it would help make the Russian invasion of Ukraine so economically painful for Moscow that President Vladimir V. Putin would be forced to abandon it.

That prospect now seems remote at best.

China and India, the world’s most populous countries, have swooped in to buy roughly the same volume of Russian oil that would have gone to the West. Oil prices are so high that Russia is making even more money now from sales than it did before the war began four months ago. And its once-flailing currency has surged in value against the dollar.

Russian officials are smirking over what they are calling a spectacular failure to cow Mr. Putin. And the economic pain the oil boycott was meant to inflict is reverberating not so much in Moscow but in the West, especially the United States, where skyrocketing oil prices pose a potent threat to President Biden less than halfway into his term.

I haven't looked for confirming stories but believe Russia's next step will be to cut fuel and food exports to the European Union countries prior to opening an air bridge to Kaliningrad.

This was all said at the very beginning of this conflict, our idiots in charge and their crusade against fossil fuel is what gave Putin the ability to wage this war in the first place.
Their deniel to admit this fault and doubling down on it is only giving Russia the economic boost it needs to continue it too.

Liberals are all like it or not in fact helping Russia wage this war...

Russia is not having any problem finding customers for their oil.

I'm not discounting the Russia oil issue but they were predicting gas to top $5 this June back in December and January.

The USA was going to be in this spot because it is not producing and refining is down 10%, regardless of Ukraine happening or not.

This is all about what Joe did to the US oil industry. And you can open all the leases you want, but if they feel Biden is not committed past the next election then who the hell is going to spend billions to drill. If they import the oil, then they avoid the risk of a Biden back stab. Just charge more.

Now Biden is preaching this stupid civic duty call to companies to lose money.
    Let's go Brandon !!!

I remember when people said buying Russian oil and NG was not a good idea. That Russia could hold the Europeans hostage. People that said that were laughed at.
