But the power companies are closing the coal plants anyways in most cases. The reason is that schedule closures under the Obama years already set forward strategies that created no reinvestment in the coal plants and letting them basically fall apart before they take them off line. The only reason for delaying the closures is the cost of grounds cleanup after they shut them down.

Government knows nothing about running a business and they prove that over and over and over again.
    Let's go Brandon !!!

The case effects not just the EPA but the entire executive branch.

They are doing so because of Obama-era regulations.

Yep. I hope delegation will be found unconstitutional.

Yes, they will say major decisions are the purview of the legislative branch.

I was wondering if this would be included in the rulings that are coming down tomorrow. I will be joining all those who are on pins and needles to hear the outcome. So MUCH will be affected by this ruling.

I maybe wouldn't get my hopes up so much, if it weren't for the most recent rulings - namely, Roe vs. Wade, and the prayer one. No chickens counted yet, but I think there's good cause for hope.

But Trump relaxed the regulations and they still kept on schedule to close them because they had stopped investment and maintenance. The cost to bring them back for longer term use was too much. This was exactly the case and explanation in SC as they continued to close coal plants under Trump.

So changing the regulations was too little too late.
