Ex-NFL star dishes on Colin Kaepernick's Raiders workout, saying he heard it was 'a disaster'

The Las Vegas Raiders have flirted with signing Colin Kaepernick to back up Derek Carr for the 2022 season.

Kaepernick worked out with the Raiders last month, and it appeared an NFL comeback was imminent. The Raiders were reportedly impressed with Kaepernick’s arm strength and conditioning, and the team considered the workout a "positive" sign.

But former NFL star Warren Sapp tells a different story. Sapp said in an interview with Vlad TV he heard the workout was a "disaster."

"I heard one of the worst workouts ever. I’m wondering how the hell this happened and the tape didn’t get out, right? I mean, somebody wasn’t over the fence or nothing? Come on, man," Sapp said Tuesday.

The secret that Kap doesn't want out , isn't just this tape, but the fact that he pretty well washed out before he took a knee.
Like many run and gun QB's he burst onto the scene with the long ball and incredible running ability. I saw him destroy the Packers in a playoff game with like 180 on the ground. You can't play man against this guy and expect to do very well. A memo the Pack didn't get that day.
BUT, NFL defenses adapt if the young run and gun doesn't then he's yesterday's news. This may be happening to Lamarr Jackson as we speak ( yes I know they have pre anointed him to the HOF, but we'll see) Kap either couldn't, wouldn't or didn't think he needed to learn the touch and short passing game necessary to defeat complex zone defenses. He had at least one good year after that according to the "QB rating system" but not according to wins and losses or any seasoned fan.
