Maybe instead of the usual insults how about addressing the hypocrisy .........

So, what percentage of pregnancies happen as indicated? Why is adoption not even mentioned as an option?

We all could paint a sad and tragic story, one to really make your eyes tear up. And it would be just that, a story.

I've dealt with Women in Crisis, quite literally. Women who have been raped, are in abusive relationships, even incest. Yes, abortion is an option that needs to be considered. While it's horrifying to hear some of the broken stories, these are a small percentage of the abortions that happen.

When we start to understand why there are excessive unwanted pregnancies, then maybe that number will go down.

Until then, treating abortion as an actual method of birth control is just wrong.

No. I am saying the people who can least afford to raise children will be the ones having them. The rich will travel out of state, while the poor will either keep them and raise them in poverty, or effectively be forced to act as surrogacy baby factory for adoptive parents.

We are actually only talking about a few states that will disallow any convenience abortion and we know that only a handful of states will be killing full term babies.

The trigger laws were set in place so the states would not have to negotiate from a open season on babies standpoint. Without them there would be no restrictions.

We will be more like Europe in most of the states and give the woman 12 to 20 weeks before saying no more.

The last thing we want is to be butchers like Canada or Ireland.

I could compromise to 10 - 12 weeks. I think anything after 22 weeks is late term/barbaric. JMO, but considerably more compromising than most are willing to do. In the cases of incest or rape, I have no issues, but there better be a conviction to go with it.

That is up to the states meaning the voters in those states. I'm in the 12 to 15 week camp but have some flexibility both ways.

If you cannot decide in the first 3 months then any abortion after that is likely to be a triggered event or reactionary.
