I don't think I will.
You are the one talking $#@! about killing someone's dogs. If you threatened me like that, it would not end the way you would like.
I agree the dog owner has a responsibility to keep his dogs under control. You have the same responsibility with your cat. Situations like this can and should be handled without being an $#@! about it.

I do not care. His dogs are big enough that one successful strike would kill my cat. I did not seek out his dogs. They came to my patio and chased my cat. Had they not barked when they did they might have reached her before I did.
Had they killed her I would have killed both of them on the spot.
The $#@! is the one who let his dogs run free.
If I threatened you in the same way you would have done the same thing. You would have been in the wrong just as he was.
You dumb son of a $#@!.

The last time I checked, dogs don't generally acknowledge boundaries unless there is a physical barrier. Cats are even worse about that than dogs. Threatening to kill someone's dogs (or cats) deserves an ass beating. You talk to their owner and explain to him what is going on, but you don't threaten to kill his animals.

Let's examine the situation.
I check outside before I let my cat outside. No dogs is good.
In this case it was less than five minutes after I let my cat out that I heard the excited barking of dogs in pursuit. Either dog is large enough to kill my cat with just one strike. I headed for the open door as soon as I heard it. My cat was chased in my yard by both dogs. She was near a closed door instead of the open door. I got to her just before they did. I scooped her up and put her in the house.
Then I faced the dogs.
At that moment the dog's owner, my new neighbor came out and called his dogs. They ran to him.
I looked at him and said, "If your dogs hurt my cat I will kill your dogs." I paused for a few seconds and then went back inside my house. since then I have had no problems with his dogs, dogs that ran free until that moment.
If dumb $#@!s who live far away want to come to talk about it they are welcome to do so. But I will be armed.
