My wife..........

This post is about religion and politics. My wife is very religious. Jesus is the only way to heaven. Reads her bible on SUndays and attends service online. But she tolerates me, loves me and we seem really happy together. We discuss a lot of things. She hates politics. Her sister is the opposite. My wife is very southern and country. About 20 minutes ago she told me something eye opening. She attended a republican political forum in a very rural Fla county a few years ago. Went for a friend. Her words were "she never felt closer to the devil than that night". She said she knew many of the people there. The forum was to hear candidates (pubs) running for local offices. She said the racist and nasty angry things she heard were shocking..........blew me away. But I know exactly the place she was and the old mindset that still exists in old rural fla.

He had me going with what I thought was a decent post about being religious tolerant and what it was like to have a spouse with a different outlook on life. Then it went all downhill into another partisan attack rant!
