A 10-year-old girl was denied an abortion in Ohio after the Supreme Court ruled last week that it was overturning Roe v. Wade, demonstrating the tangible impacts that the high court’s decision is having on patients seeking access to the medical procedure.

But to me it reflect on the GOP state assemblies that once again fail to react reasonably when they knew the ruling was coming down. They cannot act surprised. The GOP members of the states should also be openly discussing corrections to their trigger laws. This plays right into the Democrats hands.

Her life would not be over, but it would take a very dramatic turn. Seeing that a ten year old is pregnant, that suggests she does not have a very solid and caring family supporting her.



One thing I would be concerned about, is a ten year old physically able to safely carry a baby to term. I tend to doubt it, so this could be a genuine "life of the mother" situation.

You don't make laws based on rare extreme cases and Montana got it right in the first place, the child is not being denied an abortion.
