Historically, self-identified conservatives have been "cancelling" folks in various ways from a time before the nation was founded - they just didn't call it that. "Progressives" are guilty of some outrageous offenses in this area, but they still have a long way to go to catch up.

It's just a rumor, but it makes sense. Why else would they pass up conservative Tim Allen, who is iconicly associated with the character, and replace him with good boy Democrat Chris Evans. This is wokedy-woke Pixar we're dealing with, after all. Even Tom Hanks couldn't understand why they didn't have him do the voice. I know you're not going to deny that Disney/Pixar and Hollywood leans heavily to the left.

Because it's not the same character. Tim Allen played a toy. I have not seen this latest film, but the character there is a human, not a toy.

I'm referring to things like laws that you couldn't be a school teacher unless you were a regular churchgoer and, if you were a woman, unmarried. Laws that made it unlawful to belong to certain political Parties and organizations, or to work in certain industries if you did. The State banning unpopular books, films and stage productions as "subversive" or "obscene". And don't forget - although some here would apparently like to - that although the segregationists and Jim Crow supporters might have been Democrats, they were also that time and place's conservatives, and they effectively "cancelled" in myriad ways anyone who was non-White or non-Christian.

But there's no reason why they couldn't have the same voice. In fact, if the toy was based on a movie that Andy saw, why wouldn't the toy's voice be based on the voice of the actor in the movie? Are we supposed to believe it's just a coincidence that this super-woke company passed over a conservative actor for a toe-the-line Democrat, even though the conservative actor is synonymous with the character? Disney already paid the "conservative actor" millions and millions of dollars to appear in four Toy Story films, and they are currently making a TV series with him based on the Santa Clause movies. The idea that Disney is blackballing Tim Allen is idiotic.
