Summer Weather

Ours is normal: hot.

I hate summer.

Ours is cooler than normal. Quite inconsistent too. I wish there was a way we could control or alter our weather cycles.

Well, if you are in Tahuya, then please just sit back and enjoy. We lived on Kitsap Peninsula for 10 years and I loved it. Two of our kids are still there. I wouldn't mind being there.... especially now. My heart is NOT in Oklahoma. I just live here.

I don’t live in the town of Tahuya. I did though. I still have deep roots there. I have undeveloped property nearby . Tahuya is in Mason County.

I live in Bremerton which is about 25 miles away in Kitsap county.

Last summer we had an extreme heat wave and it killed a lot of oysters at low tide. It basically cooked many of the oysters on the beach. They are starting to recover now.

I couldn’t live in Oklahoma.

And, actually try to drive it, holding onto the steering wheel .

It's only a dry heat, if it's not monsoon season, then the air feels damp from humidity.

My youngest child and only daughter was born in Bremerton so I know it well. Most of my best friends in this world live on Kitsap Peninsula. We lived in Suquamish - on the water on Madison Bay for 4 years and right outside of Poulsbo for the other 6 years., one of the prettiest little towns in the whole world.

I absolutely love Kitsap as well as the Olympic Peninsula. That place warms my heart. We moved there from Puerto Rico though so I was freezing cold the first 2 years I lived there. I loved it anyway.

I remember that heat wave. I wasn't there but my son and his family had to go stay in a hotel for a few days it was so hot. The other son has air conditioning. Air conditioning usually isn't needed in that area.........but it was last year. We had a wood stove in both homes so that if the power went out we could heat anyway and that wood stove heated our houses up like crazy.
