As near as I can tell, Biden wants to shut down US oil production so he can tell the environmentalists that he is doing something about climate change. But he wants to take up the slack with oil from other countries, which defeats the entire purpose. Apparently he is counting on the environmentalists in his party to be too stupid to realize that. And he may be right.

The US can and generally does produce more oil then any country in the world. If our leaders wanted to get the price of fuel down to the $1.00 a gallon range, they could do it.

Instead of pleading with other countries to increase production, we should increase production and force them to plead with us to decrease production.
