And some people's health is so poor they have no options.
Correction to the above- 1000 steps an hour. Not day. Take 10 minutes out of your hour to do that.

My pace count (Army land nav thing) is 63 steps per 100 meters). With the pace count you count only on foot.

Walking on "varied terrain" is good because it conditions your ankles and makes them stronger. I've had Fitbits for years now, and if you're walking briskly (which is also good for increasing telemeres) for 30 minutes, I'd estimate you're taking between 3,000 and 4,600 steps, depending on the length of your stride.

One of the best ways to increase step-count during the day is to do outside chores. Inside, too, but outdoor chores seem to add the most.

    About 55 minutes or so

Elevation is a tremendous exercise or at least so it seems. For those who can do it. My knees won't let me do much of it but after the the replacements maybe.

The worst part of traveling is the traveling. You can get up and stretch out on a plane but you can't have 300 people each walking up and down the aisles 500 times. Then you hop on the bus to the rental car and drive to your destination.

Then you face the hotel conflict of, I feel like crap and just want to go to bed vs I really need to get down to the exercise room and at least get on a bike.
    Let's go Brandon !!!

During the week, depending on how close to whatever tile project I'm working on I can set up my wet saw and mixing apparatus, I get a lot of steps in. Like now, for instance, there is no place in the house to set up, so, I'm back and forth to the saw all day. Second floor remodels are also good exercise. Weekends for me are nothing but outdoor chores. I'll be cutting and splitting firewood soon, I should have already started.

I guess I need to get a FitBit, or, reinstall the Samsung Health app, I just don't like how it harasses you constantly. I can probably play with the settings. Plus, I don't really like apps that track your every move, though, the smartphones do that anyways, so, I guess there's that.
