Online forums, chat rooms, social media sites... are not substitutes for real human, face to face interaction. They never will be.

Now, I understand how my response may have upset you a bit since you can't even pay people to sit in the same room with you for longer than about a minute and a half, but CC is bright, articulate, and would probably be good company. He is not the only one who would benefit if he got out and met people and established real face to face relationships. The people he interacts with would get just as much and maybe even more out of getting to know him.

He is not just depriving himself by staying so isolated, he is depriving the friends he would be sure to make if he got out into the world.

Grocery aisles are a really hot spot at times. Also, lunchtime in eateries, shopping (especially sunglasses ) ...you can initiate a game of " how do these look on me " and vice versa.

They love concerts too. Don't bother with women in men's departments. They are usually maried to some idiot too stupid to buy his own underwear and have a flock of snotnosed kids. Run , dont walk on that deal


Also, late afternoon early evening in bars. I'm not into Bar Flys but all women have friends. Ugly ones run with a pretty one to up their game of acceptance

Do they still have that IRC thing? Used to a big deal, real time chats and all that, and I think the channels were free. Some forums had them along with the usual message board thing.

But yeah, get out and meet real people, and try to do so every day. Join some clubs or volunteer at charities, anything. people don't killed for quitting or not showing up, so give them a shot; if you don't like one move on to another. Meals On Wheels always need drivers, and you will meet a lot of people that way, too.
