Question Golf - Blue Tees Rangefinder - Has anybody tried it?

My inbox is flooded with ads for this rangefinder by Blue Tees. It is 1/2 the price of all the others. Has anybody tried it? I have an old Garmin Approach S2 that I like but have from time to time thought of upgrading.

    Has anybody tried this brand?

I have several rangefinders not intended for golf, but I suppose they would work for golf. My favorite is my Vortex Ranger 1800.

I know less about golf than I do about astrophysics, other than what I learned from watching Robin Williams, but I am guessing an 1800 yard rangefinder might be a bit of overkill. I would suggest you take a look at Halo. I have a couple of their rangefinders that I like a lot. They are ergonomic, easy to use, robust and just generally all around a good piece of kit.

Now you have got me curious, so I did a little looking for specialized Golf rangefinders. There s a whole herd of them out there. One that keeps getting consistently high reviews is the Bushnell Pro XE Golf Laser Rangefinder.

I looked at the one you mentioned above and it seems to have a lot of pretty cool features. Here is a review of the Blue Tees series.

Thanks. I have a GPS Watch. I've just been toying with a Rangefinder. I don't know why - something different perhaps. This is the top dog: Amazon.com: Bushnell Pro XE Golf Laser Rangefinder, Black/Silver, Large : Electronics

I have been maybe thinking about this model: https://www.garmin.com/en-US/p/712161

I have looked at GPS watches, but I would find it difficult to part with my Luminox. It is kind of like that phone I just got. It does what watches do... it tells me the time.

The technology available to us today is amazing. The GPS watch I was looking at was a Garmin. I have a couple of handheld Garmin GPS units. Wearing one and having it with you all the time plus performing other "watch" functions could be real handy.
