    It can't be Paine.
Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.

Thomas Paine wasn't a Founder. Atheists just like to claim he was because he hated da Evul Xians N Stuff, and there weren't enough Xian bashers to suit their ridiculous narratives claiming the Founders were all Xian hating $#@!s or something. He was useful for his propaganda skills as well, and then after the war was largely ignored. James Otis, another famous propagandist, was patted on the head and given free reign, and was then deported after the war and no longer useful to The Cause.

You keep bringing up Madison, yet you don't seem to be aware of just how much influence Jefferson had on Madison. They exchanged over 1,000 letters, for example. In one letter, Jefferson insisted to Madison that a bill of rights must be included in the constitution. I could go on and on about how much influence Jefferson had, not only on Madison, but on his contemporaries in general.
Of course they traded a lot of letters; they were politicians representing the same, state Virginia; as we can read from the various diaries of the Constitutional Convention, Madison was very much his own man. You want to build a cult around Jefferson, go ahead the reality is he was just one Founder among hundreds, and few of his ideas originated with him. He also burned a massive amount of his letters, which means you've only read the ones he selected himself for 'Posterity'. Apparently he had a lot to hide.

Ah, so you're one of those people.
That supposed to mean something? Its all very well documented.

Not at all; you want to know why I don't worship him like you do, and then snivel about it for some reason. there were better Founders than he. It isn't hard to find them either. Apparently you can't handle a different opinion and think you're some sort of PC police or something. Go cry to your Mommy, I'm not interested in your sniveling.

They were each outstanding individuals in their own right.

Paine was a sincere polemicist who helped ignite the embers of a world changing
firestorm. Maybe the Kurt Schlicter, Ann Coulter, or Rush Limbaugh of his time.

I do not agree with all that Paine wrote but he was an important piece of that body of men who altered the world for all time.

    Great day atcha' D

Where do you come up with this stuff?

So you think they exchanged over 1,000 letters because they were both politicians from the same State? Again, where do you come up with this nonsense? Their lifelong friendship and Jefferson's influence over Madison is basic history. Your attempt to deny this is just silly.

You want to build a cult around Jefferson...
Nonsense. I recognize his faults but I also recognize his achievements. You're the one trying to construct some bizarre narrative where Jefferson is nothing more than an overrated "propagandist", and now you're getting pissy because I won't let your superficial and ahistorical takes go unchallenged.

...go ahead the reality is he was just one Founder among hundreds, and few of his ideas originated with him. He also burned a massive amount of his letters, which means you've only read the ones he selected himself for 'Posterity'. Apparently he had a lot to hide.

Or so you claim. So far, I've not seen you produce a single document to back up your many accusations.
