    Inflation reduction act of 2022

Seriously Joe, you democrats are letting Yellen get away with this? This is worse than the only $600 transactions and above, this is any transaction, even it's it only 1 penny.

What is a Digital Asset? The bill does not define it. Reading up, it's any content that is stored electronically. Think about that for a minute, everything that has been digitized and stored electronically, including your text messages and bank accounts. Question is, what isn't stored electronically these days? This sounds like unrestricted power to go look at anything they want anytime they want.

Our Federal Gov't is going after the little guy.

PART 3—FUNDING THE INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE AND IMPROVING TAXPAYER COMPLIANCE
Provides for Digital Asset monitoring and compliance.

Yellen said we had no serious inflation problem well over a year ago and now we all suffer. More recently she insisted we were not going into Recession. Why does this foul woman still have her job let alone push yet another massive spending Bill that will likely cause more of the same?

As for all the hidden parts of this legislation that include more intrusion on our financial privacy, well I guess we find out what is in it after it passes right Nancy?

This bill is not law yet. I'm just pointing out a section of the law that I find intolerable and plan to let me elected representative know I want it removed. Everyone should do the same. If you read the Democrat summary it says it's increasing the IRS compliance and enforcement budget by $80 billion to generate $203 billion of increased tax collections.

Any fool who thinks the Gov't is not going to intrude on the 'little guys' finances are kidding themselves.

I'm mostly okay with the green energy infrastructure part of this bill, it's not that big. I'm not at all okay with the expense to give electric car buyers credits. I think the average electric vehicle costs around $65,000 to $70,000. The 'little guy' isn't going to be buying at that price, the wealthy guy will be, so a tax break for the rich.

All these pwople need to be returned to private life. Until now I have not agreed to term limits. However, the bunch in power not have made me rethink that. So many make congress membership a life time career and totally lose sight of what it is like to exist that sheltered place. they start making their deals among them selves...you want this, I want that so lets get both. Is there eve one congress member who actually reads these Bills consisting of thousands of pages?

I remember when they gave people tax breaks for buying vehicles that used alternate fuels......that might have just been an Arizona thing?

It didn't go over well and, it didn't take long for it to be forgotten altogether.

Edit.......there's many stories about the Arizona alternative fuel fiasco........I hope it'll be the same with electric cars.

Tell me, anybody here, including the liberal progressives, what in this bill will reduce inflation? Nothing as far as I can tell. What is going to reduce inflation is demand destruction which is being achieved by rising prices and the increase in the cost of borrowing.

I'm not at all okay with the "green" provisions in the bill. They'll cost $370 billion and they're a pipeline to funnel profits into scam industries, such as the wind energy industry.

I really thought after so many people died in Texas during the polar vortex of 2021 that we'd see our leaders putting the brakes on intermittent forms of energy.

I support clean nuclear--it's so much cheaper, more reliable and powerful--but this is mainly about money and those who stand to get very rich.

It's not about Americans who already cannot afford their utility bills.
