Hitler And Life Behind The Berlin Wall, With Dr. Rainer Zitelman

    The Beau Show

Dr. Rainer Zitelman is a sociologist author, and creator of the new documentary “Life Behind the Berlin Wall,” which profiles the stark differences between socialist East Germany and capitalist West Germany. It was Hitler’s National Socialism, he argues, that was far more nefarious than we could have imagined, which created atrocious living conditions well after the end of the Third Reich.

I spent three years in the Berlin Brigade. Living in Berlin was probably the most interesting three years of my life. I was happy to return to the US, but that was a great city in the early 80’s.
