As we approach peak hurricane season and conflict worries in Taiwan and China then why is Biden selling off our oil reserves?

1) Trump topped off the reserves when oil was at its cheapest.
2) Biden is using it when it is at the highest and prices will only go higher as we have to replace the oil.
3) The consumers paid for that oil so any drop in the price is going to be on our credit cards, meaning this was all a slight of hand.
4) Biden will have to replace the oil which no doubt will happen after the midterms as we head into heating season.

While President Joe Biden brags about reducing gas prices by releasing gigantic amounts of crude oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR), the crucial reserve has plunged to its lowest level of oil since May 1985.

Last week, the emergency crude oil stockpile plummeted 4.6 million barrels, leaving 469.9 million barrels, down from 618 million barrels last September, Reuters reported. The reserve can hold as much as 727 million barrels of oil.

It's not an emergency. The point is to save it for an emergency.

Using it for financial reasons cost us $70 a barrel or more when we have to replace it since it was loaded up when prices were low under Trump.

What's the sense of having an emergency fund when you use it for non-emergencies?
That is the question a responsible person would ask.

Only an old fool would spend it because he wants someone to like him.
