MOSCOW — As the U.S. State Department continues to negotiate with the Kremlin for the release of Brittney Griner, Russian President Vladimir Putin has made it clear that he will not let go of the WNBA star for anything less than a 1st edition foil Charizard Pokemon card.

I wish them the best of luck, but lets be honest in observing the WOKE have taken over most sports media (especially ESPN) and give people false impression for purposes of diversity and inclusion.
And need I take the moment to say I support women's sports for women as defined by rational biology not gender politics.

It is actually part of additional money that the WNBA pays if they play in Russia in the off season, so she did not just go over there on her own. She makes about $225,000 in the US but can earn an additional $125 for playing in Russia in the off season as part of the WNBA.
But Griner makes more like 1.5 million a year with endorsements. She did not need to play in Russia but it probably helps with the endorsement contracts.
Let's go Brandon !!!

A few years ago I was in our annual training week at work. Both male and female deputies were attending. One of the female deputies started talking about the Seattle Storm winning the WNBA title and their parade downtown. One of women looked at me and said "thsts pretty cool huh? I had no idea that they won this title. I responded with "no. It's embarrassing." To their credid all the females laughed.
