Interesting you would mention the morning after pill. It's already been denied by a religious pharmacist to a woman who's contraception failed and a doctor wrote her a prescription.

Either these pharmacists are opposed to birth control (and thus also don't fill bc prescriptions or they somehow think these pills induce abortion, in which case they need to go back to school. If the former, is that something that their license and association condones?

It can be bought over the counter.......it's called, "plan B"...........but, it isn't something that's used weeks or, months later, it's called the "morning after" pill for a reason........it's taken the morning after unprotected sex, a woman wouldn't wait until she's realized her birth control failed.

The morning after pill, is designed to work, well, the morning after you've had unprotected sex, you'd know if you had, or not. ........it isn't designed to be taken after you've realized your birth control failed.

Plan B, is available over the counter.

Perhaps it was something else the Doctor prescribed?

Even if you did know someone who used an abortion as birth control, your story is anecdotal at best. We have many polls showing the reasons women abort and "for birth control" is not on the list.

Perhaps the contraception that failed was a condom? Could it be these pharmacists refuse to stock Plan B?

There is no Walmart in McGregor, MN, but there are several within about an hour's drive. I'm not sure that it's stocked in-store in MN. It seems to be available for pickup in 3+ days at each of those stores.
