Greetings, Earthlings. Wanted to pop in and say howdy. I'm a 47-year-old male; or is it a binary unisex LGBT trans dolphin who identifies as a common musk turtle from Canada? I often get confused. Anyways, I'm obviously new here and hope you wait at least two and a half hours before banning me. I can occasionally behave. Hell, on rare occasions, I can actually go out in public. On a serious note, I love politics, writing, deep and dark humor, astronomy, oceanography, history and any girl that was previously in the Cirque du Soleil. Hope to get to know each and every one of you and engage in both deep and light-hearted discussions.

By the way; if you don't agree that Pink Floyd is the greatest band of all-time and David Gilmour is the god of guitarists, then you should be publicly tortured.

Pink Floyd is overrated. They are more annoying than anything else. In fact, Whale song sounds better than Pink Floyd.

Pink Floyd made some excellent music. They had their share of garbage as well.

I always preferred the older Pink Floyd music, the stuff they made before they got huge in America. A lot of it was inconsistent, but the good stuff was really good, and creative. I lost interest in them after Rodger Waters left the band. Not that I don't like David Gilmour, but when Rodgers left it seemed like it became Gilmour's solo band.

Waters wanted to end the band, and didn't like that they carried on without him. But he didn't really have a leg to stand on there, because when Syd Barrett had to leave the band, they moved on without him. I definitely believe they had the right to continue without Waters. But my enthusiasm was dampened. I guess Waters and Gilmour couldn't get along either, and still can't, like so many rock duos end up.
