Maybe we will evolve into a more serious democracy (and I use that term in its general sense)- allow only those with "skin in the game" the franchise.

That would be easy with a sane tax system which sets brackets, people pay their bracket, can largely do their own taxes. And everyone pays something. Even the high school kid with a summer job gets all but $50.00 back for example. Even PA gets docked a few bucks for taxes ( that's not exactly skin in the game, but they might see it that way.)
While I am a fan of the working poor getting some love EIC does not belong in the federal tax system. And I used it once the year my daughter was born.

Conservatives must look at the big picture and stick together on what's important, and what Peter posted earlier on this thread is hugely important. We shouldn't get bickering over the irrelevant side issues, such as Trump's hair color or rudeness on Twitter, for example, that the leftists manage to introduce in the media each week.

We got ourselves into this situation because many of those who call themselves 'Conservative' wind up being captured by the magnified minor issues the Democrats and their media create, and which are later proven to be false or irrelevant.

Instead we should all be asking ourselves, "Which US President would the Chinese prefer?" and then try to vote accordingly.

What we are seeing play out goes way beyond party. It is on a global scale. Anyone who believes in freedom, and cherishes rights and Life should stand up against this madness. Once it is implemented there's no going back. It's in our hands. These moments define our future, not just ours but for all of humanity.

We all played a part in this. I left the donkephant 30 years ago, but some dislike the average policy of the dems and repubs but can't leave the "R" lever.

The problem is that the 'fat dumb and lazy' get to vote, and they'll vote for anything they feel they can get for free. They can also be led in several directions simultaneously, which leads to further confusion and discomfort. That's when a group like the WEF, or any despot of the past or present, steps in to promise a better, brighter future under their new system..

Sure. We have them on the Republican side as well. They tell you they vote for whatever is best for them. They support an immoral system as long as it feeds them more. No wonder we get corruption. We vote for it.

Vote for your country not what is best for you. JFK had it right.

Democrats are raised on "you don't have to earn it if you can steal it". Republicans that follow them are no better.

We vote for policies that raise all boats. Sometimes that involves tough love.

When the Federal Government does it then you get the same break in Wichita KS as Irvine CA. Wichita has a standard of living that is 40% of Irvine CA.

Klaus Schwab is a major proponent of it and wrote a book on it recently. He is also the founder of the World Economic Forum. His goal is to replace the current neoliberal order (free market capitalism, low taxes, deregulation) with something that can only be described as technocratic authoritarianism. At this last Davos meeting he openly talked about the Great Reset and said it was coming whether you like it or not.

Who is Klaus Schwab? The ‘Great Reset’ is no conspiracy theory

The idea of a “Great Reset” can be traced back to 1971, when Klaus Schwab founded the European Management Forum, now known as the World Economic Forum (WEF).


Last year, Schwab and Thierry Malleret, co-founder and main author of the Monthly Barometer, published a book called “COVID-19: The Great Reset”. In the book, they define the Great Reset as a means of addressing the “weaknesses of capitalism” that were purportedly exposed by the Covid pandemic, Michael Rectenwald, Chief Academic Officer of American Scholars, said in a speech published last month by Hillsdale College’s Imprimis.

Schwab had argued in a 1971 book “that the management of a modern enterprise must serve not only shareholders but all stakeholders to achieve long-term growth and prosperity.”


“All stakeholders” could mean the entire human race or it could refer to those deemed worthy, i.e., the elite members of what comedian George Carlin referred to as the “Club.”


In an often-quoted monologue, Carlin referred to a rigged system: “It’s a big club and you ain’t in it.”


Schwab and the WEF — an organization made up of the world’s political, economic, and cultural elites that meets annually in Davos, Switzerland — “have promoted the idea of stakeholder capitalism ever since. They can take credit for the stakeholder and public-private partnership rhetoric and policies embraced by governments, corporations, non-governmental organizations, and international governance bodies worldwide,” Rectenwald said.

In addition to being promoted as a response to COVID, the Great Reset is promoted as a response to climate change. In 2017, the WEF published a paper entitled, “We Need to Reset the Global Operating System to Achieve the [United Nations Sustainable Development Goals].” On June 13, 2019, the WEF signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the United Nations to form a partnership to advance the “UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.” Shortly after that, the WEF published the “United Nations-World Economic Forum Strategic Partnership Framework for the 2030 Agenda,” promising to help finance the UN’s climate change agenda and committing the WEF to help the UN “meet the needs of the Fourth Industrial Revolution,” including providing assets and expertise for “digital governance.”
