LWW is clearly just trolling. If permitted, he will keep claiming that you're not answering his question until you get tired of his game and begin ignoring him, at which point he will accuse you of "running away" and declare himself the winner.

You might want to consider going back and reading the exchanges so far between FK and LWW before Thanking and even doubling down on his nonsense.

Lately I've just been giving people like that one or two chances to show that they're interested in a serious discussion and then just begin skipping over their posts.

Not even sure the Bible directly mentions abortion, which was likely practiced through herbs to some extent in that day as it was in many tribal societies. Many Christians, probably most, do not believe the Bible verbatim. Many do believe in the general peace and love teachings of Jesus and no judgement
So under your beliefs your church should NOT help women get abortions but there are many beliefs within Christianity.

Jesus didn't teach us not to judge.

Christians believe the Bible is the word of God. The Bible is very clear on how to take what is written. What would be the point of worshiping God, and not following the plan He has laid out for you? The Bible is also quite clear about human life, and the taking of it.

No, not all Christians believe the Bible as written, especially that nasty ass Old testament. Which described the actions of a spoiled king, not those of a loving God.
Also does the Bible even define abortion as the taking of a life?
Your beliefs do not represent the entire religion any more than the beliefs of a fundamentalist Muslim represents all Muslims.

I respect your beliefs I just disagree as do many other Christians.
Where abortion is banned whom will help these mothers? Are you willing to undergo a tax increase to do that? Something tells me you are. But many are not and that is not realistic

The Bible is the Bible. Again, what would be the point of picking and choosing which parts to believe? If you are only going to accept the parts which appeal to you, that seems silly to me.

Isn't that what you're doing? Just accepting the parts that appeal to you?
