Aidan Meller, the creator of the Ai-Da robot, believes that within three years artificial intelligence (AI) could overtake humanity, per The Daily Star.

He also backs Elon Musk's belief that advances in AI could impact mankind more than nuclear war.


"I agree with Elon Musk that AI is a bigger threat than nuclear war – but it could also be remarkable too," he said


"There is every right to feel nervous about the rise of AI," he added.


"We are hurtling towards them taking over humans so we need to have a heart of ethics."

I think its very possible.Look at how fast robotics has advanced.The military has drones that communicate amongst themselves after being given orders.

Some designers think their work is flawless as a reflection of their own ego.

But some of it that I have seen is pretty dang good. I had chance to work with a University on Design of Experiments program tied to AI.
It told us how to design the testing and then provided us with the results. They wanted to see a real world application and for us we learned 5 times more that we were looking for in a few months instead of a few years. We had an optimized product for the market.

It still depended on us to tell it what all the important factors and variables were. So even this pleasing result only reflected what we told it was important to begin with. It was still limited by our thinking.

Why?

Work is advancing rapidly on every pillar that supports artificial intelligence as a superior entity to humans. Some people believe it will happen in the near term, 3-5 years. Things always take longer than expected. I think AI will be out of our control in a decade.

Sorry, but Tech Heads that can mimic some human functions in AI are NOT experts in the complexities of the human brain and conscious activity.

They need to get over themselves!
