We have Raven's and gangs of crows in my area. The Ravens are larger and have shinny feathers. They are also bolder than the crows.

It appears to be a member of the corvidae family and if it is truly 'huge', then it might be a raven. Ravens have a body length of up to 26 inches and their plumage is shaggier than that of a crow.

Its a one eyed, one horned flying purple people eater.

By the way, a raven has one more pin feather than does a crow. So the only difference between a raven and a crow is a matter of a pinion.

When I lived in East Tennessee they had a rookery in downtown Newport TN, on the cliffs overlooking the French Broad River. There would be hundreds in the air sometimes. On the ground they are ugly as sin but in the air they are quite the flyers. They would get in the air currents between the cliff and the river and it was something to watch.

One day driving into Newport from my home there were several of them feasting on some roadkill. Most flew away when I got close in the car but one took exception to my interrupting his dinner and actually attacked my car!

And, that bird looks to have a bald head......it does to me, anyway.

It's not a raven, I've got lots of ravens around here and, the other place, they're a glossy black, with a completely different looking head and, beak.
