Most of you have sent he scene where the police stopped Gabby and Brian, talked it out with both, told them to separate for the night and let them go
They had absolutely no proof that Brian had done anything but defend himself and even then no major physical evidence.
They talked to young couple who had had an apparently minor scuffle where neither was really hurt. She said she started it and that he grabbed her in self defense. If true, he can do that. They took him, the reported victim, to a hotel and told Gabby to stay with the van.
Both gabby and Brian are now dead he killed her at some point later in their trip and then himself later on.
But the media wants someone to blame. There is Brian. But he be dead so they are bad mouthing the poor cops that actually did a good job. They feel like they should have arrested her but Brian wasn't hurt and didn't want that.
I don't know why anyone wants to be a cop. These were good guys doing a good job.
Worst of all they can some kind of forensic psychologist talk about the missed opportunity. And that the cops didn't understand DV.
But the truth is almost certainly that they did exactly what they could. Had they arrested her and given her the van keys the next day she'd of still gone and picked him up. Had they held her the press would condemn them for that!
She had no intention of seeking help based upon the video. The officers could know what they were looking at but had no proof. You cannot help people against their will but that is exactly what they want these officers to have done.
It sickens me. But that's not enough 20/20 and others appear to be gunning for Brian's parents as well. Had she been alive and they refused to save her, maybe. But if they knew anything they knew that she was dead and they are parents.
Brian was to blame and Gabby had every chance to ask for help, she was not ready.
