    Good culinary cutlery has largely missed inflation for the most part.

    A really good grade steel set of forged knives with full tang and riveted handles can be found for $200 or so … and they will likely outlive the buyer with some moderate care.

    I don’t know that I agree as an absolute, but in general that’s true just as a set of PING clubs put one on the tour.

    We have a set of HENCKELS CLASSIC that I keep very sharp. Mid price.
