EVERY single one of them but my mom and one other lady was overweight .

Wow. that's a packed waiting room. Strangely when I go to my heart doc there are few in the waiting area, but all of them are of normal weight. However, all of them but me have been elderly.

I could use some apple pie, an ice cold root beer, and maybe a grilled cheese sandwich. Sigh, I will drink my hot water. Lol : ) I haven't had coffee since May, what an atrocity!!!!

That's a real issue. Even here, we see some of the southern influence in cooking and obesity. But, it's a blend--we also see the more-northern influence of physical fitness and recreation. It's interesting because in the northern states, people get together to work out or go for a brisk walk. In the south, gatherings seem to focus on food. I just got back from a short trip to deep Texas and it's still that way.
I guess it's just what you learn.

I live on coffee in the mornings. That would be so challenging for me to give up. Are you at least putting a little tea bag in your hot water?
Fortunately, I don't have a sweet tooth, but I do like breads, especially homemade breads that are still warm from the oven.
