So true, there's nothing like bread fresh from the oven. I do have a taste a few times per year.

Same for me with coffee, except I used to drink it all throughout the day. Coffee is one of my favorite things on earth, I just drink it black, and it's wonderful. It wasn't too hard to give up though. I really do just drink hot water, surprisingly it's as pleasant as tea.

Everyone eventually needs a heart doc. Some never get there though

I just got back from a short trip to deep Texas and it's still that way.

I guess it's just what you learn.
After I left the house I stopped eating the heavily fried stuff. Now it is easier to find healthier cooking in the New Orleans area as an option- the fried stuff is still there.

Can you put a table spoon or two of fresh lemon juice in it? It's very refreshing. I used to do it all the time. Now, can't have it. Chicken bullion (powder) in hot water is a nice treat and break from water-water-water.

It is, unfortunately, a true statement.

While no one really wants to pay top dollar for something, there are many more people watching their dollars. For some things WalMart is fine, others, not so much. They have a large selection of junk food at cheap prices, and oodles of store brand carbonated drinks to wash the junk food down with. A combination of those two will lead to weight gain, heart issues and the never ending cycle of very poor health. Proof is quite visible on the check out lines.

I have a tea drawer like when those people in the movies who open their coat and it is filled with every kind of weapon. : ) I am just doing the water until my health stabilizes a bit further. I am trying to not disturb my chemistry. But I do put lime in my food to get the extra vitamin C. I really do like the hot water though it is much more pleasant that one might think. I do like your suggestions though, they sound wonderful.

Good on you on the walking, it has weight loss benefits but many other benefits as well. It helps me "positize" a word I invented that Webster has not recognized for some reason. LOL It is the act of becoming more positive and exercise helps, and when I walk vs the heavier exercise I can often feel it happening in real time.
