Auto mechanics have the task of servicing their local community’s vehicles. Whether they’re maintaining or repairing, it’s necessary to keep the neighbors moving. However, not everyone who owns a vehicle has been taught how to maintain them between visits. This post is specifically focused on the weird and wacky types of projects that can end up rolling into the auto shop. Some of these projects will make you scratch your head; some might even gross you out. But at the end of the day, if we all know a few things to look for, it could save a lot of money on repairs. We hope you enjoy this funny list of the strangest things mechanics have seen on the job.

The vise grip as steering wheel was the best. My brother swore he used vise grips as a lug nut once.

While my parents were on vacation, my mom's car was stolen (under my watch). The cops called and had located it the next day. The perps had busted open the ignition and used a screwdriver to start it. Luckily they were thoughtful enough to leave the screwdriver, so I used it to start the car and bring it for thorough repair and detailing, they did an awesome job, but as soon as my mom heard what had happened she immediately sold the car...

Then there was my car with the 2 foot by 1 foot mouse nest on the engine block...

Not nearly as entertaining - or scary - as stories about amazing things found by emergency room doctors in...unusual places.
Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.” - Robert E. Howard

"Only a rank degenerate would drive 1,500 miles across Texas and not eat a chicken fried steak." - Larry McMurtry

The knob fell off my guest room shower. I admit it has vice grips for a temporary handle. I can't find a good replacement knob. It has been about 6 months.

Not much in this would have been odd to us when we were young.
Let's go Brandon !!!
